Grilled Chicken Wings with Tangy Garlic Dip

When I think of summer, I think of 3 things. Bbq , more Bbq, and some Bbq on the top of that. The outdoor vibe just brings a smile to my face, and that grilling aroma brings warmth to my soul. Summer brings family together, and with these chicken wings you bet they will be back year after year.

Wings:
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons hot paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ Tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
¼ cup olive oil

1.5 – 2lb chicken wings

Tangy Garlic Dip
2 egg yolks
1 Tablespoon hot sauce
3 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon lemon juice
¼ cup olive oil
pinch of salt

Directions:
1) In a medium size bowl, mix together all the wing ingredients besides the chicken. Add the chicken and toss to coat.
2) Heat a outdoor grill to medium heat. Place the chicken wings on the grill and grill for 4 – 5 minutes per side. Be careful – the mixture has sugar in it so it may burn fast..so keep an eye on it. Remove from grill and set aside.

Dip:
In a food processor add the egg yolks, hot sauce, garlic, and lemon juice. Mix together and slowly add the olive oil while the other ingredients are mixing, being careful so the mixture doesn’t separate. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt. Place in dipping bowl and serve alongside the wings. Enjoy.
